Licensed Massage Therapist located in West Simsbury, CT

About Gebhardt

Marie Gebhardt has been a licensed massage therapist for over 15 years. With a natural curiosity about the human body and a desire to help people, becoming a massage therapist was an easy choice for her. Graduating at the top of her class from the Florida College of Natural Health in Orlando in 2005, a passion for alleviating pain was sparked.

Marie has worked with professional and amateur athletes from a wide range of sports from triathletes, skaters, baseball and hockey players, fencers and more as well as people dealing with stress and chronic pain from work-related repetitive motion and old injuries or surgeries. Most of her work today focuses on injury prevention and recovery for all clients.

With a broad range of training in techniques such as musculoskeletal alignment, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, sports massage, visceral manipulation, stretching and energy work she personalizes each session to the individual and their present needs on any given day. She has also done 200 hours of yoga teacher training at West Hartford Yoga as well as many years of personal research in exercise, nutrition and natural healing and so brings a wealth of knowledge to offer helpful suggestions for self-care between sessions.

She is a certified aromatherapist and having spent the first years of her career in the spa industry she is gifted with a knack for creating a soothing environment.
