Melissa DePaolo, MS CHES is a nutrition coach with a difference: A passion to empower her clients to find easy and sustainable ways to change their dietary habits. With these new practices, Clients are freed from issues such as:fatigue, weight-loss difficulty, digestive discomfort, bloating, brain fog, body & joint pain, and other chronic diseases influenced by poor nutrition and lifestyle habits. 

Melissa earned her Master’s degree at the University of Connecticut in Health Promotion Science and achieved her Health Education Specialist Certification through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialling. She is also a Certified Precision Nutrition Coach. During her graduate schooling, she trained with leading health promotion experts. Her experience includes developing tailored health programs for people struggling to maintain healthy lifestyle habits along with the stress of a busy schedule. 

Changing dietary habits is difficult to do alone, and sustainable change takes time and support. Melissa uses a habit-based approach, which helps clients sequentially shift from unhealthy patterns to healthier ones. She empowers clients with the tools they need to realistically incorporate new changes into their lifestyle. In some cases, specific testing will be suggested to identify food sensitivities, gut infections, and hormone disrupters. 

Each plan is customized into a manageable, step by step process. Melissa learns a client’s personal ‘food story’ and their evaluates, sleep, stress, and environmental factors to identify the most critical areas for change. She provides inspiration, education, and accountability to clients to achieve their health goals. She teaches skills such as (but not limited to): healthy cooking, meal prepping techniques, emotional regulation, portion sizing, meal timing, and offers recipes, meal suggestions, shopping lists, pantry cleanouts. Melissa can provide the education and resources that are most important for individuals to achieve lasting success. 

Tailored, 3-month programs are the minimum amount of time required to create sustainable change dietary habits for long term success.
